Want to get a song written just for you?

Hello! My name is Ryan Westwood. I'm an independent singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon with a BA in theatrical performance.

I've written over 150 custom songs in my 17 years of playing and writing music.

Whether it's an informal birthday gift for a friend or partner, a parody of a song, a theme song for a web series, songs for your musical short film, something you plan to release commercially, or anything in between, I can't wait to hear your idea and help bring it to life!

I'm going to work with you one on one to get the song right. I put my whole heart into every Song I work on.

If you've got a special occasion coming up, or a special person you'd like to get a song written for - I'd love to talk to you about the project, and how I can make you something you'll never forget.

"Ryan has taken my lyrics and brought them to life. I had no pre conceptions of what I wanted or expected but as soon as I heard Ryan's first draft I knew it was absolutely what I wanted! A few minor tweaks along the way were no bother to Ryan. I cannot recommend Ryan highly enough" - Matthew - United Kingdom ” - Matthew - United Kingdom

 FAQ -

1. How long does it take?

  • Each process is different, but usually 2-3 weeks.

2. How much does it cost?

  • I usually charge $500 for a custom song, but I’m willing to work with your budget

3. If I already have lyrics, will you just write the music?

  • Totally! And, I’ll give you a discount because the project wont take as much time!

4. How many revisions do I get?

  • Generally, I’m going to work with you until the song is right by you, and by me. I’m extremely dedicated, and I want you to get exactly what you want. However, if the requested revisions take me beyond the scope of the original request, I may ask for an adjustment on the price.

5. What does the delivery look like?

  • When I deliver your song, you’ll get a custom Song/Lyric sheet, MP3 and WAV files of me singing and playing the song, as well as all the stems (Individual tracks) of the song. I can add harmonies if you’d like, and may add in other instruments like harmonica, bass guitar, piano, or banjo, depending on the song.
